Job Title: Project Manager – Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Upgrade to 12.2.14

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) upgrade from the current release to Oracle EBS 12.2.14. The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise application upgrades, extensive experience with Oracle EBS Release 12.x, and a proven record of managing cross-functional teams through full project lifecycles.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end project management for the Oracle EBS upgrade to 12.2.14, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain the project charter, scope, timeline, work breakdown structure, resource plan, and budget.
- Coordinate with technical teams, functional leads, DBAs, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage and track upgrade readiness activities, including environment preparation, patch application, retrofitting, remediation, testing cycles, and cutover planning.
- Oversee functional and technical testing, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate when appropriate.
- Facilitate meetings, status reporting, communication plans, and documentation across business and IT stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organizational change management, SOX controls, and IT governance standards.
- Work closely with Oracle SMEs and/or external vendors to ensure the project meets all technical and functional requirements.
- Drive go-live planning, cutover coordination, and post-upgrade support handoff.
The list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required. Travel should be expected as part of this role.
Experience required:
- 3 + years of experience managing large-scale Oracle E-Business Suite or ERP implementation/upgrade projects.
- Good knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 architecture, upgrade processes, patching (ADOP), and related technical components.
- Demonstrated experience with R12.2.x upgrades, preferably to 12.2.10 or later.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team projects with aggressive timelines.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Hybrid).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with structured testing processes and environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
- Oracle EBS certification or hands-on background in functional/technical modules.
- Experience in environments with customisations, integrations, and third-party extensions
