Employment type: 3-month contract
Location: Remote, UK
About Enigen
Enigen is a multi-award-winning Oracle Partner, delivering solutions across Oracle applications and technology with 16 years’ experience in the UK market. We focus on tangible outcomes for our clients, bringing the best of Oracle together.
We’re currently looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead an AI-enablement programme of work for a Sales Transformation on Cloud Infrastructure. As the Enterprise Architect you will play a critical role in bridging business strategy, AI/ML capabilities, and cloud technology platforms (i.e., CPQ, MySQL HeatWave, Autonomous Database, OCI AI Services) to deliver the required architecture.
The role requires a strong foundation in frameworks and standards such as TOGAF and Open Agile Architecture (OAA), deep understanding of cloud technologies, and the ability to define end-to-end architecture across business, data, application, and technology domains.
Key responsibilities include:
Architecture Leadership
- Own the end-to-end enterprise architecture for the EPC Sales AI program, ensuring alignment with business outcomes (faster RFQ response, accurate quoting, risk-aware proposals).
- Translate business requirements (RFQ automation, AI risk analysis, human-in-the-loop workflows) into target state architectures.
- Define roadmaps, dependencies, and transition states for evolving from legacy quoting tools to CPQ + AI/ML.
- Working with the BA and team engineers, apply TOGAF ADM and OAA principles to guide analysis, design, and execution phases.
Business & Experience Architecture
- Map customer and sales engineer journeys to value streams, linking EPC RFQ workflows with AI-enhanced quoting.
- Define the experience design principles for AI-augmented RFQ review, quote generation, and compliance sign-off.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs and measurable business outcomes.
Data & AI Architecture
- Define data architecture across all domains and perspectives of the enterprise.
- Establish guidelines and principles for decision making on components, building blocks etc. (operational AI vs. compliance & reporting).
- Ensure alignment of AI/ML pipelines (Document Understanding, Generative AI, ML, Data Science) with data governance and regulatory needs.
- Define standards for data security, lineage, quality, and compliance (GDPR, ITAR, EPC-specific regulations).
Application & Integration Architecture
- Define integration patterns between CPQ, ERP, CRM, PLM, and AI Core Engine.
- Oversee the use of cloud-based integration solutions, APIs, and event-driven architectures (i.e., OCI Streaming, Functions) to connect systems.
- Ensure AI outputs (extracted specs, risk reports, quote drafts) are seamlessly embedded in Oracle CPQ workflows.
Technology & Engineering Architecture
- Govern technical decisions around cloud compute, security, networking, and DevOps practices.
- Ensure cloud-native scalability, monitoring, and resilience of the AI-driven quoting platform.
- Oversee the adoption of MLOps pipelines (i.e., HeatWave AutoML + OCI Data Science).
- Define architectural standards and enforce architecture reviews across all technical workstreams.
Governance & Leadership
- Run the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for the project, ensuring compliance with enterprise IT standards.
- Provide guidance to data engineers, AI/ML specialists, and solution architects, ensuring architectural cohesion.
- Act as the point of escalation for architectural trade-offs and decisions (performance vs. compliance vs. cost).
- Mentor cross-functional teams in applying architecture best practices.
The list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required. Travel may be expected as part of this role.
Experience required:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture with strong delivery in cloud-based ecosystems.
- Deep expertise in database models and systems such as MySQL HeatWave, Autonomous Database, as well as cloud-based AI and integration services.
- Proven application of TOGAF ADM and/or Open Agile Architecture (OAA) in digital transformation programs.
- Hands-on experience in data architecture, AI/ML solution patterns, and intelligent document processing (IDP).
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, including security, compliance, and event-driven integration.
- Experience in EPC, manufacturing, or large-scale industrial sales transformation projects.
Preferred
- Oracle Cloud and MySQL HeatWave certifications.
- Experience with AI governance, model risk management, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid architectures with Oracle at the core.
Salary: £700-750 per day
Start date: 6th October 2025
Interview process:
- Stage 1: Initial Screening with Talent Team (30 Minutes)
- Stage 2: Meeting with a Team Member
- Stage 3: Potential Presentation to Senior Directors (Colchester Office)
