Job Title: Business Development Consultant
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Location: Colchester ( 3 days a week in the office / 2 working from Home)
Reports to: Managing Director/ VP – Alliances & Marketing

As part of Enigen’s growth, we are looking for an exceptional Business Development Consultant to help open opportunities for the company across all services, becoming a key member of the team.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop high-value business-to-business relationships, creating a pipeline of opportunity within a wide range of prospective customers.
- Using a range of techniques including cold calling, networking and social media to develop opportunities for the business.
- Work closely with our Managing Director and VP of Alliances and Marketing to develop a strategy for pipeline generation.
- Engage, manage and propose a wide range of services to new clients, or book in meetings for other members of the senior leadership team.
- Manage data and regularly update the company CRM system.
- Follow up on prospective customers from marketing campaigns and events.
- Achieve Oracle Sales Certification as part of your personal development.
- Manage your activity to ensure you hit desired KPIs and targets.
- Supporting marketing and brand activities.
The list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required.
Required / desirable experience and skills:
- Previous Sales experience, ideally in a Telesales environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Confident and strong communicator, including stakeholder management and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to work independently when required, as well as part of a team. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.
- Willing and capable with an attitude for learning.
- Educated to bachelor’s degree level in any discipline.
- Good level of Maths and English.
- An interest in Technology, with a knowledge of Customer Experience, Supply Chain, ERP or Human Capital Management advantageous.
- Good use and experience with MS Office Products – Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
